¡Bienvenidos a la clase del Español en el Séptimo grado del WAMS! You have successfully completed a full year of Spanish and are continuing in your journey. This year you will expand your skills acquired last to discuss more people and places around the Spanish-speaking world. You will also be able to express yourself using more vocabulary and word structures.
This year we will be discussing heroes and what traits and actions we see in people who are considered heroes in our world and personal life. Personality and physical traits along with favorite activities will be used to discuss the members of our family and compare and contrast our family members to each other and to ourselves. We will also be exploring foods and dining traditions in Spanish-speaking countries. Finally, we will talk about houses and different chores and activities normally done when we are home with our family and friends.
This year you will see so much growth in your abilities and confidence in using Spanish in class and among your classmates. I hope you are proud of how far you have come since the first day of 6th grade and I know you will be even more amazed at what you will be able to do throughout this year.
